GroundNote Counseling Presents:
A 12 Week Program for Motherless Daughters
Who Lost Their Mothers As Children
March 15-May 31
Losing your mother at any time in your life can be very difficult. Losing your mother as a child presents unique challenges to women. We develop our female identities based on our observations of and interactions with our mothers. Women who suffer maternal loss as a child often grow up with no real sense of who they are and spend their lives trying to figure that out and build an identity. This 12 week group is designed to help you in that quest. Surrounded by other women who suffered maternal loss as a child, you get to explore who your mother was as a woman, your own journey, and how to develop a healthy sense of being connected even if you lost your mother a long time ago. To paraphrase the baby bird in Dr. Seuss’s book Are You My Mother? you DID have a mother!
